Why serial dilution matters
A serial dilution makes a stepwise concentration series from one stock solution. It is useful for standard curves, plating assays, dose responses, enzyme tests, and any workflow where each tube is prepared from the previous one.
The calculator uses the selected dilution factor to compute the transfer volume and diluent volume for every tube. For a 1:10 dilution with a 1 mL final volume, each tube uses 0.1 mL sample and 0.9 mL diluent.
