1 M Tris Buffer Recipe (pH 7.5)

1. Dissolve 121.1 g Tris in 800 ml of ultrapure water.
2. Add 65 ml concentrated HCl (this should bring the pH to 7.5).
3. Wait until the solution reaches room temperature, then measure the pH.
4. Sterilize by heat.

Tris = tris[hydroxymethyl]aminomethane = (HOCH₂)₃CNH₂.
