Temperature Converter

Convert temperatures between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin with absolute-zero validation.

This calculator is useful when you need a quick unit check without working through each conversion factor by hand. Enter one value to compare every supported unit side by side.

Temperature Converter

Enter a temperature and choose Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Kelvin. Temperature conversions use offsets, so they are handled separately from simple scale-factor units.

Use decimals or scientific notation.
UnitSymbolEquivalenceValue
Celsius°CK = °C + 273.1523.89
Fahrenheit°FK = (°F - 32) × 5/9 + 273.1575
KelvinK1 K297.04
Method: convert the input to the base unit first, then convert from that base unit to each target unit. The base unit is kelvin (K).

Temperature scales use offsets

Temperature conversion is different from ordinary unit scaling because Celsius and Fahrenheit have different zero points. Kelvin is an absolute scale and cannot fall below 0 K.

Example

Enter 25 °C to see the equivalent values of 77 °F and 298.15 K.
